What You’ll Learn

Our adult classes are designed to take the guesswork out of training. We don’t just throw you into the deep end; we follow a structured approach covering the full spectrum of Jiu Jitsu:

  • Core Positions: Master the hierarchy of positions, including Guard, Mount, Side Control, and Back Control.

  • Escapes & Reversals: Learn how to get out of bad spots and turn the tables on your opponent.

  • Sweeps & Takedowns: Learn how to get the fight to the ground and land in a dominant position.

  • Submissions: Joint locks and strangles are taught responsibly, with a focus on control and safety.

  • Live Rolling: We introduce sparring in a safe, progressive format, allowing you to test your skills without the risk of injury.

  • Complete Fundamentals: We offer training in both the traditional Gi (kimono) and No-Gi submission grappling.

Train With Tim Rennick - Day to Day​

The quality of your training depends on who is leading the room. At Carlson Gracie Inland Valley, most of our adult BJJ classes are personally coached by Tim Rennick.

Tim brings a rare combination of credentials to the Wildomar area. He is a former Division-1 wrestler and a BJJ Black Belt World Champion. But what truly sets him apart is his teaching philosophy.

Tim is known for a relaxed, highly technical coaching style. He is respected in the community for building champions without hurting his team. He believes that the best way to improve is through:
