My son started around 5 years old, we didn't know what to expect not having any experience in Jiu Jitsu. My son was also extremely shy and nervous but Professor Tim and all the coaches have been such great teachers. My son has learned so much from this place, discipline, confidence, technique and much more. We are extremely happy we signed him up.

Amazing! This month marks two years at the school and I couldn't give it better remarks. All the things you're looking for in a healthy BJJ school, it has: coaching during competitions, kids of all ages, older adults who feel safe, a safe place for women, upper belts, etc. Oh yeah, & it's taught by a world class and current world champion. My family and I could not be happier. We highly CGIV & Professor Tim with his amazing staff.

We were recommended to Carlson Gracie Inland Valley by someone well-versed in Brazilian JiuJitsu who told us about how much prestige the Gracie name has in the sport. We initially signed up our then 6-year-old to help her learn to use skills, get confidence, and, frankly, learn to fight from her back. We watched her several times weekly and were invited to try out an adult class. It's not easy, that's for sure. In fact, it's humbling to try something new as an adult and not be good at it initially. But we're now hooked and do it as a family. We are truly so happy with CGIV and love the staff - Professor Tim, Jessica, and Jasmine are total rockstars: very patient, kind, and helpful (and strong and good!). There are always guest instructors, too, which give a different angle and flavor to the training. We are also happy to have made new friends in the process.

My kids and husband have been attending Carlson Gracie Inland Valley for 3 yrs and have grown so much. It's a great community, wonderful coaches and Professor. We've made some wonderful friendships here and have learned a lot! Definitely recommend this place. Great way to learn self defense, while having a good time.

Best Jiu Jitsu gym around! Professor Tim and his coaches are truly amazing. They really care and are looking to grow your skills. My son has attended this gym for the past 2 years. Sessions are well planned out and structured with no down time. It is a friendly environment, where not only the coaches are encouraging, but the kids encourage each other as well. They are competitive, but have great sportsmanship in the gym. I would highly recommend Carlson Gracie Inland Valley Jiu Jitsu gym!!

Tim is one of the smoothest black belts you will ever roll with. Despite being the best part of 50lbs heavier than I am, he is probably amongst the safest rolls you will ever get, alongside the likes of Gunnar Nelson in terms of a relaxed state. Tim is also a Black Belt World and European champion who attends training camps with the likes of Bernardo Faria and Andre Galvao, which is how I met him. Having travelled up to his gym from the UK and then via San Diego, it is first class, exceptionally clean and his students were super friendly. I cannot recommend Tim and his gym enough.
